What is it all about?
The Great Illuminatus looms.
It is the pinnacle of professional wrestling.
But, with the pinnacle of any profession, not every competitor is worthy of participation.
This is the reason The Triad was formed.
A year-long series of trials to deem the twelve most worthy wrestlers to compete in Pro Wrestling’s most prestigious, dangerous event.
These trials will take place during three cycles. Each cycle will last a total of ten weeks. There will be four bi-weekly events featuring four triple threat matches. A fifth and final ‘PPV’ sized event will signal the end of the cycle.
Twelve wrestlers will compete in each cycle.
They will be drafted into three divisions of four by the three owners of The Triad.
Wrestlers can only compete against competitors from other divisions. They will never lock up with a divisional ally throughout the trial.
A point system will determine team and individual standing.
The winner of a triple threat will earn two points. The wrestler that avoids pinfall or submission will earn 1 point. The wrestler suffering the pinfall or submission will receive 0 points.
The top point earners from each team will face off in the main event of the cycle’s final ‘PPV’ event. In the event of a tie for points on a team, a 500 word rp will serve as the tie breaker.
The winner of the main event will receive a key into The Great Illuminatus along with a piece of the Triad that guarantees them a bye into an upper tier within The Great Illuminatus.
Three other keys will be handed out to members of the winning team. These keys will grant them access into The Great Illuminatus.
At the end of a cycle everything will reset. Wrestlers may choose to return for the next Cycle or they may decide to cash in their chips, so to speak, and await The Great Illuminatus. However, if they choose to cash out, their positioning within The Great Illuminatus may weaken should other competitors earn higher point totals.
Wrestlers will be placed within The Great Illuminatus based on overall point totals.
The Triad owners will also have say over who stays and who goes within their division. They may choose to trade with another owner. Or, they might want to cut someone from their division before the next cycle in an attempt to strengthen their division.
Each cycle will have a theme of Bravery, Strength, and Wit. The three core virtue of The Triad. The locations and themes surrounding the cycle will seek to fit within the selected virtue.
At the end of all three cycles there will be a maximum of 15 keys handed out. A minimum of 12. There will be three cycle winners with their individual piece of The Triad. These three will ascend to the highest possible ‘bye’ tier within The Great Illuminatus.
The rest of the competitors will be sorted based on overall point total throughout the year.
And then, The Great Illuminatus shall commence.
One wrestler will defeat them all and leave with The Triad. A symbol recognizing them as the greatest professional wrestler in the sport for that year.
Good luck to all.

How does the point system work?
At the outset of each Trial the three owners will draft from a pool of competitors. From that pool they will select the twelve they deem the most prepared to face the trial that awaits.
Each competitor, regardless of their previous achievements, will begin the Trial at 0 points.
The teams will be comprised of four competitors each. Teammates will never face one another during a Trial. They will compete and fight for individual acclaim as well as team supremacy.
Every two weeks there will be a round of competition. Each round of competition will feature four triple threat match ups. Each triple threat match up will feature one member from each team. The winner of each triple threat match up will score 2 points. The wrestler that avoids being pinned or submitted will score 1 point. The wrestler that gets pinned or submitted will leave with 0 points. The points earned from these match ups will go to their overall score for the Trial as well as their team's combined total.
At the end of four rounds the individual scores will be tallied and the top scorers from each team will face in the Finale's main event for a piece of The Triad and an automatic entry into The Great Illuminatus. The other nine competitors will battle in 3 triple threat match ups to add to their team's total. The members of the team with the most overall points at the end of the Finale will each receive a key giving them entry into The Great Illuminatus.
Finale point totals will be as follows: Winners will received 5 points. Wrestlers who do not get pinned or submitted will received 3 points. The wrestler that gets pinned or submitted will leave with 1 points. These points will only go to the team total.
If there is a tie to see who goes on to the Finale main event, the tie will be broken by a single 500 word rp from each contestant on a topic assigned by their team captain. That owner will judge those rps to determine who he wants to represent his team in the main event at the Finale.
If there is a tie between teams at the conclusion of the finale the team that score the most points at the finale will be named the winning team of the Trial.

Okay, cool. So what are the OOC requirements?
Well, for starters you'll need to fill out an application on our Triad Bio forum. The link will be provided at the bottom of this page. The more detailed the app the more likely you'll be drafted to a team. Sample rps will be important.
If you are not selected to a team, don't worry! We will hold onto your application. You may be promoted to a team if a drafted member has to drop out or gets kicked out. OR, you can be eligible for the next Trial draft.
If you ARE selected, you will be required to post 1 2k rp every two weeks. There will be a 250 word overage buffer to prevent you from losing any points due to a slight word count discrepancy. So that's a total of 5 2k rps for the entire Trial over a 10-11 week window.
You are NOT required to submit segments. However, segments are encouraged to build and construct stories as the Trials move along. The dynamic of Team vs Team. OR, the dynamic within the team. Plenty of opportunities to build throughout the Trials and into The Great Illuminatus. The only requirement on your end, should you be drafted, is to post 1 2k rp every 2 weeks. That's it. But you are more than welcome to review all the shows and tell us how awesome we are at what we do. Just saying.
And, of course, if you happen to earn a key into The Great Illuminatus then you will be required to post 1 2k rp during a 2 week window for that match. That match takes place once a year, at the conclusion of all three trials.
I hope that explains everything. if you have any questions, feel free to ask!
